Legacy Lighthouse Academy
A small hybrid academy helping families with
5th-8th graders thrive.
WELCOME
Middle school is often the point where students either gain confidence—or start to fall behind academically.

Some are learning at home. Others are coming out of traditional school. But many face the same challenge: increasing academic demands, especially in math, writing, and reading.
When foundational skills are not strong, students begin lose their confidence in their ability to learn.
Legacy Lighthouse Academy is a small academic hybrid program focused on rebuilding strong math foundations, improving reading comprehension, and developing clear, confident writers. Students receive structured instruction and are taught at their level, helping them rebuild skills and move forward with confidence.

We combine structured academic instruction with a literature-rich, Charlotte Mason–inspired approach to learning.
Each year we only enroll 10 students! So reserve your spot today!

What others have to say.
"Amy made a tremendous difference for both of my children. Over the course of several years, she identified learning gaps, created individualized curriculum, and helped build both skills and confidence. She is incredibly patient, kind, and encouraging, and she genuinely cares about each child she works with. We are so thankful for the impact she had on our family and highly recommend her to any family looking for thoughtful, personalized academic support." - Rhea

Why middle school is a turning point
Middle school is often when learning becomes more demanding—and gaps are harder to ignore.
Students begin to:
-
Struggle to understand and retain math concepts, not just complete assignments.
-
Feel unsure how to organize and express their thoughts in writing.
-
Read without fully grasping or remembering what they’ve learned.
-
Lose confidence in their academic abilities.
-
Become less motivated and engaged in learning as it becomes more difficult.
Without the right support, these gaps tend to grow over time.

Our Solution
Focused academic support where it matters most
At Legacy Lighthouse Academy, students receive structured instruction designed to help them rebuild their understanding, strengthen skills, and move forward with confidence.
Our academic focus includes:
-
Math instruction built for understanding and mastery.
-
Step-by-step support to close learning gaps.
-
Reading instruction that builds comprehension, retention, and discussion skills.
-
Writing practice that builds clarity, confidence, and clear expression of ideas.
-
Consistent academic structure and accountability that supports success.
Students are taught at their level and given the support they need to grow in both skill and confidence.
Why not just tutoring or a co-op?
Tutoring can help students complete assignments.
Co-ops can provide community.
But many students still struggle because they need consistent, structured instruction—not occasional support.
Legacy Lighthouse Academy provides:

-
Regular, multi-subject instruction—not just one area at a time
-
A strong focus on math understanding, not just getting through problems
-
Ongoing accountability and guidance, so progress continues each week
-
A small, teacher-led environment where students are known and supported
-
Peer discussion and learning that builds confidence and thinking skills
